Packing the Ultimate Survival Kit for One’s Survival

An emergency survival kit doesn’t need to be expensive. It does not mean buying special survival gear and supplies just to make sure you are alive. It is easy to pack the basic survival kit that can last for two to three days.

This does not mean that the kit is the smallest or biggest one but makes sure that it is packed with all the essential elements for survival. These will keep anyone going when the situation gets worst.

Water is one of the important elements needed by the body for survival. The body can still function without food for weeks but now without water.

There are widely available commercially packed and bottled water but if in case one can’t find one when disaster strikes, look around and nature has so much to offer.

Make sure to pack the needed amount of water that can last for several days. Use it when needed as much as possible. Treat water before drinking it just to make sure it is safe for the body.

Shelter is another basic need of humans for survival. When it comes to shelter, this does not always mean packing expensive tents or RVs. These can be basic supplies that will be good for building a simple one.

A large garbage bag can be used as a basic shelter with a space blanket that will protect the body from cold or warm temperatures. Related to shelter also is packing appropriate clothes for different weather conditions. Pack them too as part of your survival kit.

Making fire is also essential to survival especially if trapped outdoors. Be sure to pack some matches and a lighter. For cooking, bringing some fuel and a heater can be handy too.

If you don’t have any of these, firewood, and a simple fire is enough to give you an option in cooking your food. Identify some edible plants and small animals around you if in case you run out of your survival food.

These are some of the essential items that should be included in the ultimate survival kit. It doesn’t need to be expensive but complete enough to keep anyone going while struggling for one’s survival in any disaster situation.
