Obama’s Latest Gun Grab Targets Your AR-15

Responsible gun owners of the nation beware.

It seems that President Obama has discovered that he cannot legally ban guns, so now he is attempting gun control through another method: banning ammunition.

Obama's bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has recently proposed legislation that would outlaw the import of 5.56 mm ammo, which is commonly used in AR-15 rifles — coincidentally, one of the most popular guns in the country.

Barack Obama, the “constitutional law professor,” must have finally figured out there is no way he can avoid running up against the Second Amendment when it comes to one of his many final solutions for our founding document – outlawing private gun ownership in America. So he’s having one of his feral federal agencies craft a go-around: Ban ammunition instead.

First up – the venerable and incredibly popular AR-15, the semi-automatic version of the military’s M-16/M-4 family of infantry rifles.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, our phone and pen president is using executive authority to “fix” a problem that has been created out of whole cloth, and he’s using the federal government’s most inept “law enforcement” agency, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, as his instrument…

Republicans responded immediately – and in typical toothless fashion.

The GOP chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Bob Goodlatte, fired off a “critical letter” to ATF, “demanding” an explanation for the sudden ban. The agency, most likely, will yawn it off. Obama most certainly will, and more on that in a moment.
