Natural disasters, weather events, terrorism, even recent civil unrest all make a bug-out bag an indispensable tool to allow for survival. What to include in it is more of a mystery.

A “Bug-Out Bag” is a prepared bag of essentials that is kept on hand in the case of the need for a quick exit in the case of an emergency. Even if you are not a die-hard survivalist or prone to thinking society’s sky is one rain cloud away from falling, it is a good idea to have one at the ready, whether you live in an urban, suburban or rural area.

Your bug-out bag should contain essential items to allow you to live “off the grid” for a temporary period of time, until things get back to normal or you locate like-minded folks who are equally prepared.
