So I happen to be a big fan of a certain Facebook page with an name that isn't used in polite company.
This page posts a ton of scientific finds and factoids but last week one of the posts really stuck out:
“Yale, Stanford, MIT, Cornell, and many other universities around the world have introduced free open courses in subjects like physics, biology, and chemistry. In many cases, there is a semester’s worth of recorded lectures, along with exams to test your knowledge. If you have ever wanted an Ivy League science education, here’s your chance!” – From a Facebook post on I Freaking Love Science.
Now, while you won't be able to get a masters degree by taking any of these classes, you can still learn just about anything you want to know.
Some of the courses you can find are in the fields of:
- Biology
- Computer Science
- Economics
- Engineering
- History
- Language
- Literature
- Math
- Philosophy
- Physics
- Political Science
- Psychology

Not only are there hundreds of courses available, but you can also find a ton of free ebook downloads and movies (many old and hard to find movies).
Take a look and let me know what you think.
And if you want to take a look at the Facebook page that I got this from check out I freaking love science.
