Prepping is on the morning news and it's not to gawk at “crazy doomsday preppers.” This morning on the Today Show they had a segment on go-bags (a.k.a. bug out bags), why you should have one, and what should go in one.
Bug Out Bags Hit Mainstream
While their examples may not have been as robust as a hardcore prepper's bug out bag, they did cover the basics that a newbie would need. 72 hours worth of food, water, clothing, hygene products, an energy source, and ways to keep warm or cool is a good baseline for someone just starting out. Hopefully, with bug out bags being featured one of the biggest morning shows, more people will start getting prepared.
