DIY Outdoor Survival Kit
When assembling your outdoor survival kit or “bugout bag,” it's important to consider not only packing MRE's and other survival food, but also items that will help you acquire food when you're out in the wild. After all, readymade survival food will only get you so far…after that, you're on your own. It's important to carry at least basic hunting and fishing supplies so that when worst comes to worst you are able to acquire food. You also need to pack some method of preparing food.
The video below shows you how to put together an outdoor cooking/hunting/fishing kit. Here are a few of the supplies you will need:
- MOLLE compatible 4inx10in pouch
- GSI Outdoors stainless steel cup
- Stanley camp cook kit
- 4oz stove gas canister
- Compact, lightweight burner
- Emergency food and spices
- Fishing kit
- Mini slingshot
