Like any smart prepper, you probably have several guns and a large supply of ammo. But what if the “big one” hits? If modern society as we know it ends, how are you going to keep your ammunition supply up?

One day you may need to make your own gunpowder, and if you wait until that day comes to learn how, you'll be out of luck. Check out these videos from Cody's Lab on how to make gunpowder the old-school way, with simple materials you probably already have.

For sure this is one of the few moments where you watched this video in disbelief. After which you either laughed out loud, considering the fact that waste from our body can be turned into gunpowder, or felt some degree of disappointment when you realize that other chemicals are needed or the simple truth that it's a tedious process. But no matter how you look at it, being able to make gunpowder from urine is just astonishing.

Who would have thought that the liquid waste from our system can be used for something that explodes? Of course you should not be imagining how the restroom would be shattered to pieces while you're taking a leak. The point here is that your pee can replace some chemical that may run out when SHTF. In the aftermath, supplies will inevitably dwindle. It's comforting to know that there is always hope, in the form of urine, that you will still have ammunition when other have run out.

This curious gunpowder experiment will definitely leave a mark in your memory. At least you can recycle liquid waste and use it to protect yourself and your family when things get awry. With a hard work and a little patience, you'll have recycled ammo to keep up the fight.
