The following are the original show notes from that episode.

Health is an interesting word. One most people simply think of as the absence of illness, being physically fit and may be even eating well. I also find it interesting that doctors will take 11-18 years of education to be fully certified and yet they tend to learn almost nothing about “health” beyond the absence of disease.

Still I think we tend to think very compartmentalized, even those of us that fancy ourselves as “living a healthy lifestyle”. Many people hit the gym often, eat well, see their doctors like clock work and yet are they really “healthy” if we look at their entire life style.

For 11 years I have done this show based on what might be the clunkiest tag line in history, “helping you live a better life, if times get tough or even if they don’t. Today we are going to look at the 10 key aspects of total lifestyle health and how when combined they lead not only to a great life but a highly resilient one.

Join Me Today as we Discuss…

What exactly is health?

  • Standard Medical – The absence of disease (dis ease)
  • A Better One – A condition in which someone or something is thriving or doing well
  • I would add to the second “and able to maintain that condition indefinitely absent specific catastrophic events”

The Ten Types of Health to Build A Resilient Life

  1. Emotional Health
  2. Mental Health
  3. Physical Health
  4. Spiritual Health
  5. Financial Health
  6. Occupational Health
  7. Intellectual Health
  8. Preparedness Health
  9. Environmental Health
  10. Adaptive Health
