Whether hiking, providing security, or simply just wanting advanced personal protection, the Bellator plate carrier by Infidel Body Armor is the one to choose.  Best of all, it’s manufactured in the United States and made affordable for everyone.

Plate carriers are a perk to have during almost any outdoor activity.  From sport shooting to hiking, plate carriers are not only designed for protection but for load bearing as well.  Various modular accessories can be optimized to carry all sorts of gear and tools for a hands-free experience.  For example, radio pouches can be attached so that communications are easily accessible during mountain hikes or medical pouches can be customized and fixed for first responders to aid during a crisis.

The plate carrier is one of the most commonly overlooked pieces of tactical equipment.  Oftentimes plate carriers are purchased without much research, ultimately dissatisfying the customer; or with proper research it is realized that a decent plate carrier is unaffordable. At least, they used to be.

The Bellator Plate Carrier by Infidel Body Armor

Designed with the civilian prepper in mind, Infidel Body Armor has released the Bellator plate carrier made available for the everyday citizen.

The Bellator plate carrier is available in the most popular colors; black, tan, and multicam and has 360 degree MOLLE webbing so that virtually any sort of utility pouch, ammo pouch, medical pouch, or even hydration bladder can be securely attached.  Sewn into the back of the plate carrier is a drag handle designed for dragging the wearer with ease in case of injury.  Inside of the cummerbund is additional MOLLE webbing for side utility pouches in case the wearer would like to insert side armor plates.  The shoulder pads have loops for routing additional equipment or a hydration tube.

The plate carrier itself is made from 92 weight thread and the density of the fabric’s weave is 1000 dinear Cordura (1000D).  All materials are American-made from start to finish as well as this plate carrier is Berry Compliant under the Berry Amendment meaning the Department of Defense (DOD) gives special preference in procurement to domestically produced, manufactured, or home-grown products.

The Bellator plate carrier is adjustable from sizes M-XXL and is even water-resistant.  Adjustments can be made for sizing by loosening or tightening the elastic found in the cummerbund. At the bottom of the plate carrier nearest to the naval are two openings which can be found on both the chest and the back.  These openings are for hard or soft armor plates sized at 10”x12”.  Closed cell foam pads can be found inside the plate carrier on the chest and back for additional ease of comfort in case hard armor plates are worn.

Whether hard or soft armor plates are chosen, or even no armor at all, the Bellator plate carrier is designed to be breathable in hot, dry, or humid climates.  This is made possible by the closed cell foam pads which raise the plate carrier to sit roughly half an inch off the wearers’ chest and back allowing for fresh air circulation.  There are four foam pads located inside the plate carrier and all are adjustable as well as removable.

Compared to other plate carriers the Bellator plate carrier is extremely cost friendly and includes a life-time warranty.  The Bellator is priced just around $200 and is shipped directly from Royse City, Texas with enough in stock so time is saved not waiting.  The Bellator plate carrier is manufactured by Beez Combat Systems in Utah and made available through Infidel Body Armor.  For more information about Infidel Body Armor visit the website or check out their Facebook page.

Infidel Body Armor! I sure do like the name! It is very appropriate!

Over in the Middle East, our soldiers are called Infidels every day. The Koran says that Christians are infidels: Koran 5:17, “Infidels are those who declare God is the Christ, son of Mary.” Our company is Christian-owned and we wear that definition of “Infidel” with pride. We claim the privilege of worshiping God according to our conscience and allow others to believe as they would- just don’t try taking away our right to worship how we want to.

This looks like a great item. However, I noticed during the demonstration that the stomach area is not covered. I am 5’8″, 265 lbs. Will it fit? I’d also like to know how much it cost?

    Thanks,

    Richard

This will likely fit you Richard. The cumberbun will expand if necessary.

The carriers are designed NOT to cover the stomach intentionally. This facilitates bending, sitting, etc. It’s the standard rather than the exception.

Maybe it would be nice to point out the difference between a plate carrier and soft body armor that accepts hard plates.

Some concealable soft armor (like those often worn by patrol officers) have a small pocket in the front designed to insert a trauma plate that’s usually only 5×6 or something like that.

A plate carrier is generally designed to be worn outside the clothing and has pockets to hold rifle plates (10×12 or 8×10). Often these plate carriers can also hold the soft armor in conjunction with the rifle plates.

This Bellator carrier can either hold rifle plates (10×12) or a soft Kevlar insert (10×12).

Only XXL? I had read on Infidel’s site that their higher-end carriers handled 3XL (with mods). Does this one? If so, what mods are needed?

I’m 6’5″ and have a 56″ chest and 3XL would do me but 2XL for something like this is too tight/small. Guys like me are bigger targets, too, so you’d think they’d be looking to protect us more … LOL 🙂

      Bub,

This carrier would not be the best fit for someone your size. I’d recommend the Defender for very tall and large fellows like yourself.

That said, I’m 6’2″ and 235lbs and the Belltor fits me very well.

Don’t forget that you get what you pay for. Plate Carriers made by condor usually have issues such as inproper molle webbing, weak sewing, or cheap dinier cordura. Its these plate carriers that are usually sold through Amazon and are mostly for air soft purposes.

There are some great plate carriers out there that are in tune with mil-spec and standards for armed forces. This being one of them.

PERSONALLY! I WOULD NOT WANT A VEST THAT SAID INFIDEL ON THE FRONT. NOT WITH ALL THE MUSLUMS TAKING OVER OUR COUNTRY. PLUS IT DOES NOT COVER THE PELVIS AREA, OR STOMACH. THE PRICE IS TO HIGH. SORRY. STILL LIKE YOUR SITE!

Id like to have one that covers from below waist to neck. Including under arms on each side. A lot of shooters under stress cant shoot accurately. Aim center mass and hit you in the neck or side.
By the way. What is on this dudes head?
