Knifemaking is an ancient art and a great survival skill to have in your back pocket.
When SHTF, weapons will most likely be hard to come by. You won't be able to go to your nearest outdoor store and buy a knife. Even buying from friends or neighbors may be difficult, as people will likely be hording tools and weapons for themselves and their loved ones.
So knowing how to make a knife in a SHTF situation will be extremely beneficial. And in the meantime, it's a fun hobby.
